Ergo Traveller Powerchair

The Ergo Traveller powerchair from Karma Mobility is a lightweight, compact powerchair that incorporates the S-Ergo seating system. This system is proving very popular in their wheelchair range and has two main benefits aimed to give maximum comfort; first, its contoured S shape helps to redistribute pressure evenly whilst helping posture and secondly, it helps to prevent the user from sliding down in their seat. In addition, the back rest is angle adjustable and the arm rests flip back for easy transfer, the footrest height is adjustable, and the joystick can be mounted on either side.

A lightweight portable powerchair

The main emphasis of this powerchair is to make it light enough to be practical for frequent travel. As a result, the heaviest part is just 24kgs and can be lifted into a car boot with relative ease. Its compact design is well suited to indoor use, where it will manoeuvre easily, however, it has sufficient power for outdoor use thanks to its two 200w motors and two 22Ah batteries.

The range of this Ergo Traveller powerchair is up to 16 km / 10 miles (depending on conditions) and will travel at 6km / 4mph with ease on a full battery charge. The powerchair is easily taken apart for travel and breaks down into 4 components. The quick-release battery box has the charging point built into it, making recharging simple. All in all, this is a very capable powerchair that is well suited to the frequent traveller. Maximum user weight is 115 kg.
